Angeles von Lobos
Angeles is 3 years, 4 months old this month. He was born May 3, 2008 at Walltop Kennels in North Carolina, USA. He journeyed several times with me between NC and MN while I was traveling for business. He of course fit in perfectly with the rest of the pack here in Minnesota. Well, maybe not fit in…he took over as the head of all that is and should be given attention to.  We were unable to...

$300 Billion Jobs Proposal for the United States →
“The plan would be paid for partly by closing corporate loopholes and raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans in the future, one Democrat familiar with the plan told CNN. Obama is expected to unveil his proposal — focused largely on infrastructure spending, targeted tax cuts and aid to state and local governments — during a Thursday evening address to a joint session of...

Report: Austerity Measures Will Lead to ‘Permanent... →
“Heiner Flassbeck, is head of the globalization and development strategies division at the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and a former deputy finance minister in Germany. Flassbeck says: If interests rates everywhere are zero, and if governments stick to the policy of not only keeping fiscal deficits where they are but retrenching, cutting public expenditure, then we...

Has employment been redefined? →
Very interesting commentary on the state of employment via CNN and what the definition of jobs/employment should be. I’ve had similar discussions with friends that perhaps we should dissolve currency altogether, live on a credit based system, everyone has housing, food, education and healthcare. People can decide how far up the food chain they want to go. The more they contribute to society...

So you want a dog? →
My #dog article on hubpages.  “Dogs provide companionship; an ear to listen to every complaint, a shoulder to cry on and a buddy to have fun with. All come with unconditional love. Some come with scars though and need time to heal before they show that love. Others are bouncing balls of joy that never slow down. Dogs can be rescued or bought. Regardless of the path taken towards dog...

MN Fringe Show: THIS IS WHERE YOUR FREE TIME GOES... →
scooterryan79: The Pioneer Press did an AMAZING write up about the MN Fringe Festival show that I helped out on, directed by my friend Nikki Wakal, starring Curt Lund, Brian Rice, and Joe Hendren — and is the AWESOMELY HILARIOUS words of Tim Gage.  Here’s the write up: This show is laugh-so-hard-your-stomach-hurts funny. The wonderfully talented Joe Hendren, Curt Lund and Brian Rice take...

Oily substance found off shore and in rain buckets... →
“The stuff on the shore had “an oily feel to it, like baby oil,” resident Mida Swan said Friday. She said she detected no odor from the substance. The substance also may have rained down on the village Wednesday evening, because it was found in buckets that some residents used to collect rainwater that night, Mitchell said.”
